Medicare Supplements, also called Medigap policies, allow you to use any doctor, hospital, or facility that accepts Medicare.  You don’t need referrals to see specialists or pre-authorizations for tests and procedures.  Your healthcare is entirely up to you and your doctor.  Medicare Supplements don’t cover prescriptions, so you’ll need to enroll in a Medicare Part D drug plan.  We can help with that too.

Medicare Advantage plans are “Managed Care”.  HMOs require you to use a doctor or hospital in their network and usually require referrals to see a specialist.  PPOs don’t require referrals; you can go out of network, but you pay more for that privilege.   HMOs and PPOs require pre-authorizations for most testing, surgeries, and therapies which take time and may not be approved.  They usually have a $0 or low premium, including prescription coverage, extra perks like dental, vision, and Medicare Part B premium reimbursements.  They work similarly to your marketplace plan (Obama Care) or employer group insurance.

Regardless of your plan type, you should always use an independent agent who can compare all the companies and plans.  We represent BC/BS, Aetna, Allstate, Bankers, Woodman, Humana, Omaha, and over 20 other companies.

We need your zip code to determine which plans are available in your area. Some plans use your age and gender to determine the cost.
